I was inspired by knitalatte's great green post, so here are some of my favorite greens from this week :)

 

 

The garden is growing by leaps and bounds. One day there will be bare bushes, and only a few days later there are flowers and sprouts and vegetables just waiting to ripen.  I think this is my favorite kind of magic.

Growing greens

As spring's here (and summer isn't too far off!) we've planted the garden.  This year I'm keeping a photography diary. These are a few of the 'baby' pictures I took last week, in a few days I'll go back and see how much they've grown.  In the end I want to combine the garden photos with ones of all the flowers we grow at the house as a gift for someone very special to help them keep those winter blues away, come Christmas.

Some sweet finds

Last weekend I was lucky enough to find a handful of little crochet doilies & a mixed jar of vintage buttons at a garage sale. There's quite a few shell and mother-of-pearl ones which definitely made my day, as I love the subtle sheen and lovely creamy color of them.

I can't decide what to do with all of my finds - I really want to do something special with them since the materials themselves are so precious.

Moving In Day

Hi there! I'm spreading my wings and starting to explore various blogs onsite, so I thought one of my own would be a good idea.  It will be wonderful to experience blogging outside of the fandom-driven world I usually inhabit. Looking forward to meeting some new friends and seeing (& learning) new things :)
